Operations Manager Update (KB2852565)

Issue 1

The Audit Collection Services (ACS) dtPrincipal tables sometimes are missing a user's domain name.

  

Issue 2

If you decide to see more than two days' worth of data in a Service Level Dashboard view, the data is displayed from the Daily Aggregated data and does not contain the last two days' worth of data.

  

Issue 3

The Health Service stops collecting performance data on Windows Server 2008 R2.

  

Issue 4

The web console crashes when the Active Alerts view and the Windows Computer State view are accessed at the same time when Internet Explorer 9 is used.

 

Issue 5

A memory leak may occur in the console when the performance widgets dashboard is left open.

 

Issue 6

When the Operator role is used, many 26319 events are generated. This causes performance problems.

  

Issue 7

Health Service availability reports are incorrect because of duplicate entries in the HealthServiceOutage table.

  

Issue 8

When the Orchestrator Integration pack is under a high-load scenario, a software development kit (SDK) process deadlock may occur.

  

Issue 9

This update includes fixes to the following Advisor Connector issues:

• Group opt-in
• Microsoft System Center 2012 Operations Manager gateway and Microsoft monitoring
• Windows PowerShell cmdlets
• Health state

Operations Manager (KB2826664)

Issue 1

The Web Console performance is very poor when a view is opened for the first time.

Issue 2

The alert links do not open in the Web Console after Service Pack 1 is applied for Operations Manager.

Issue 3

The Distributed Applications (DA) health state is incorrect in Diagram View.

Issue 4

The Details Widget does not display data when it is viewed by using the SharePoint webpart.

Issue 5

The renaming of the SCOM group in Group View will not work if the user language setting is not "English (United States)." 

Issue 6

An alert description that includes multibyte UTF-8 characters is not displayed correctly in the Alert Properties view.

Issue 7

The Chinese (Taiwan) Web Console displays the following message even after the SilverlightClientConfiguration.exe program is run:

Web Console Configuration Required.

Issue 8

The Application Performance Monitoring (APM) to IntelliTrace conversion is broken when alerts are generated from dynamic module events such as the Unity Container.

Issue 9

Connectivity issues to System Center services are fixed.

Issue 10

High CPU problems are experienced in Operations Manager UI.

Issue 11

Query processor runs out of internal resources and cannot produce a query plan when you open Dashboard views.

Issue 12

Path details are missing for "Objects by Performance."

Operations Manager - UNIX and Linux Monitoring (Management Pack Update) (KB2828653)

Issue 1

The Solaris agent could run out of file descriptors when many multi-version file systems (MVFS) are mounted.

Issue 2

Logical and physical disks are not discoverable on AIX-based computers when a disk device file is contained in a subdirectory.

Issue 3

Rules and monitors that were created by using the UNIX/Linux Shell Command templates do not contain overridableShellCommand and Timeoutparameters.

Issue 4

Process monitors that were created by the UNIX/Linux Process Monitoring template cannot save in an existing management pack that has conflicting references to library management packs.

Issue 5

The Linux agent cannot install on a CentOS or Oracle Linux host by using FIPS version of OpenSSL 0.9.8.

[Orchestrator 2012][OpsMgr 2012] Orchestrator dashboard in Operations Manager 2012

Anders Bengtsson (MSFT) has published an article related to an Orchestrator dashboard in System Center Operations Manager 2012.

He provides a management pack that collects some information in the Orchestrator DB :

• Queue

1. Pending Jobs, show number of runbooks with pending status, meaning they are waiting to start
2. Top minutes in queue, show number of minutes top 1 job have been in the queue.

• Runbook Results

1. Success, show number of runbooks that have ended with success result
2. Warning, show number of runbooks that have ended with success result
3. Failed, show number of runbooks that have ended with success result

• Runbook Jobs. This widget show number of times each runbook have run with success result. You can easy see which runbook that most often executed. The names you see is the name of the runbook.
• Orchestrator Server Status, show status of my Orchestrator roles. In this sandbox all roles are on the same server, SCO01.
• Orchestrator Alerts show alerts generated by my Orchestrator machine.

Service Management Portal and API

Administer Web Sites and Virtual Machine services on Windows Server while also offering customers the same Windows 8-style self-service user experience as found on Windows Azure to provision and manage their Web Sites and Virtual Machines. Customize and extend the portal experiences using the REST-based Service Management API to include branding, billing, custom service integration as well as integration into existing portals.

Download the Service Management Portal and Service Management API Beta Express bits to install the Admin and Tenant portals, and the Service Management API on one machine.

Download the WebPI and click on the Products tab. Select Windows Azure to deploy the portals and the Service Management API on separate machines.

By downloading and using the Web Platform Installer (WebPI), you agree to the license terms and privacy statement for WebPI. This installer will contact Microsoft over the Internet to retrieve product information.
