Thanks to Walter Chomak for his article related to OpsMgr Performance. He provides a table with measured IO that could serve as a planning / diagnostic aid for anyone tasked with supporting a relatively large SCOM 2012 infrastructure.
His conclusion is when you surpass 750 agents, explicit design considerations for IO may not be necessary. Simply follow all guidelines and recommendations by both Microsoft and the SCOM Community.
